- Dr Arun Prasad started his professional journey from Charing Cross Medical School in London, where his team started the use of laparoscopic surgery at the hospital.
- He came back to India in 1996 and joined Apollo hospital where is served as a senior consultant for 22 years.
- Then he started working at Manipal Hospitals where he filled the position of surgery department head and Chief of Bariatric and Gastroenterology Surgery. Also, he was the most experienced and senior Laparoscopic, robotics and VATS Surgeon there.
- He is amongst the pioneers of Minimal Access Surgery in India with almost 30 years of experience in robotic bariatric surgery.
