Dr Lakshminarayanan is a Senior Consultant Paediatric Neurologist and Epilepsy Specialist. He completed MBBS at Kilpauk Medical College in Chennai as a best outgoing student of his batch. Dr Lakshminarayanan came out with flying colours successfully completing specialist training in Paediatrics and Paediatric Neurology at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. He is an expert in many rare childhood diseases like genetic and inherited metabolic disorders. He has shown excellent results in children with autoimmune encephalitis, a rare treatable disorder.

Dr Lakshminarayanan is one of the few well qualified and skilled paediatric epileptologists doing complex epilepsy surgeries to cure uncontrolled epilepsy, in India. He previously worked at the Children’s Epilepsy Program at The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH), Melbourne, Australia as Senior Epilepsy Fellow for two years. The focus of his fellowship was comprehensive epilepsy care and epilepsy surgery. During his tenure at RCH, Dr Lakshminarayanan has taken part in the presurgical evaluation, intra-operative EEG monitoring and postoperative care of nearly 100 children with epilepsy. His research study analyzing intracranial EEG recordings of children with tuberous sclerosis undergoing epilepsy surgery was published in the prestigious Brain journal in 2016 and the same was well received among the experts in the field.
