- He completed MBBS from MKCG Medical College, Berhampur in 1989, followed by MS in General Surgery and MCh in Neuro Surgery from National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) in 1994.
- Dr Manas started his career as a Professor of Neurosurgery at Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences.
