Patient: Muhammad Mamun Khan

Country: Bangladesh

Condition: Leukemia

Treatment: Bone Marrow Transplant

Doctor: Dr Dharma R Choudhary

Mr Muhammad Mamun Khan, a Bangladeshi patient who had been living in Dubai for last 26 years, found the blood count in the reports of his routine annual checkup in Dubai, to be significantly low, including white blood cell, red blood cells and the platelets.

Getting concerned by the reports, he decided to receive further consultation in Dubai. After further investigation, he was diagnosed with Leukemia. The doctors in Dubai referred him to receive medical services from BLK Super Speciality Hospital in New Delhi, India. He required a Bone Marrow Transplant which can’t be performed in Dubai because of the lack of technology.

Mr Muhammad went on the website of BLK Hospital and compared it to other hospitals in India, finding it suitable for his treatment.

Dr Dharma Choudhary, the Director of Bone Marrow Transplant Department at BLK Hospital, was supervising Mr Muhammad’s case.

He received the treatment and within one month showed significant improvement in his condition. Eventually, his blood count had also started increasing, a piece of news his ears had been waiting to hear for months.
